So here I was, Napton Reservoir a beautiful piece of water situated not far from Leamington Spa.
For many year’s, Napton Reservoir has been renowned for its tench fishing and this, combined with the crucian carp, bream, roach and specimen carp creates a fishery with something for everyone.
So after talking with a few locals I opted to fish the harder end of the pool, weird yes but I’m currently trying to fine tune my skills so I can be ready for The feeder masters next year.
I fished four hours using chopped worm and dead reds and also used some ringers dark ground bait with some method mix added 50/50.
All in all I was very happy with my efforts I managed to catch multiple perch and roach of varying sizes and enjoyed a fantastic days sport. I will definitely be returning to this fantastic bit of water hopefully next time it won’t be so windy.
